Aggressive angiomyxoma: A case report and review of the literature

Abstract

We report a case of a 46-year-old female patient, referring for painless mass at the left gluteal region, with gradual enlargement during the last 8 months. Symptoms initiated almost right after surgical excision of a tumor sited nearby the left Bartholin gland. Patient underwent surgical excision of a two-lobed mass sited at the left gluteal region and the left labia majora, sizing 7.5×13.4×17.8 cm. It was a tumor repelling smoothly without infiltrating nearby tissues, surrounded by capsule. Histopathology reported aggressive angiomyxoma.
